SHAUNA SOLOMON
"WHATCHA GONNA DO"
DMA - 1999
South Florida's latest indie steps up its
promotional campaign for artist Shauna Solomon by dropping a new set of mixes of
her debut single, "Whatcha Gonna Do". This time out the remix has a much
welcomed deeper groove that moves the single away from its pop identity and
allows for more serious exposure. Remix team Corey "K-Ahzz" Malloy and Robert
Badillo deliver the goods with Krome Avenue vocal and dub mixes. The
production is percussion based and includes a bass of highhats and echoed vocal
loops. This is clearly a crowd pleaser for audiences that seek out deep
and hard house floors. Shauna Solomon, by the way, is the voice behind former
Funky Green Dogs and Liberty City projects. So, if you missed the original
12", don't loose any sleep. Just don't don't miss this remix 'cause it's
worth lots of play.

"I got this record back at Winter Music
Conference. I prefer the Krome Avenue remixes, because it's more my style.
Out of them all, the Krome Avenue mix is the best one."
